For more than two decades, Yanti Sharples has been sharing her remarkable voice, infectious love of life, and passion for music with communities throughout the South Okanagan. A familiar and much-loved presence on the local music scene, Yanti’s versatility has seen her move effortlessly from jazz standards and soulful ballads to rock favourites, blues, fundraisers, and karaoke. Wherever music brings people together, chances are Yanti has been there!

Yanti regularly performs with an impressive lineup of local ensembles, including Sax Among Friends, The Justin Glibbery Quintet, Crawford & Crossley Quartet, and the SoCo Blues Crew. A singer, songwriter, teacher, and multi-instrumentalist, she also plays ukulele, cello, and shaker. Her musical world is as varied as her talents, but at its heart is a simple belief: music has the power to build strength, inspire hope, and create meaningful connections between people.

For Yanti, music is about more than the notes. It’s about the energy we share, the joy we create, and the positive vibrations we bring into the world. That generous spirit is what makes her such a special part of the South Okanagan’s musical community.
