HIGHBUSH CARIBOU
Fresh off the salty coast of Prince Rupert, BC, Highbush Caribou bring their unique blend of dynamic folk storytelling, surf rock and gritty western flavour to The Hub.
With twangy guitars, atmospheric melodies, driving rhythms and just a hint of spooky, spy-movie tension, this four-piece has carved out a sound that’s equal parts surf, folk, psych-rock and western grit.
Featuring Jackie Goetz, Alvin Seymour, Cameron Cerant and Shadoe Dansereau, Highbush Caribou are a DIY band who write, record, mix and master their own music — and they’re bringing that distinctive North Coast sound all the way to Penticton.

VOLUNTEERS
Volunteers are a three-piece garage-country group from the North Okanagan, led by Okanagan-raised songwriter Liam McIvor, who is also the current steel player for Petunia & The Vipers. Drawing inspiration from the likes of John Prine, Gene Clark and The Flying Burrito Brothers, Volunteers blend traditional folk and country songwriting with a psychedelic, garage-rock edge. Their original songs explore love, mortality and the wonderfully mundane — even finding lyrical inspiration in such subjects as compost and garbage.
JARED JACKEL’S BAD VIBRATIONS
Coming out of the Okanagan orchard country, Penticton’s own Jared Jackel’s Bad Vibrations occupies a wonderfully strange corner of the musical universe — somewhere between gothic cowboy psychedelia, freak-folk, garage rock and bizarro country.
A multi-instrumentalist, producer and songwriter, Jackel brings his songs to life with twangy post-western guitar, foot-operated bass drones and retro-world drum machines, creating a spirited one-man-band experience that’s equal parts dusty Western, psychedelic fever dream and back-alley garage show.
