In Memory of Denis Chaykowski
Join us for an afternoon of music, dancing, friendship and refreshments as we come together to celebrate the life and legacy of our good friend Denis Chaykowski, while raising funds for the Penticton Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts Scholarship and Bursary Fund.
Denis had a tremendous passion for music and an equally tremendous belief in the importance of giving young performers a chance to be heard. Through projects such as Fresh BC Talent Quest and countless local music and arts events, he created opportunities for young people to perform, grow in confidence and share their talents with the community. He was always dreaming up the next project, supporting local musicians and finding ways to champion emerging talent—and this afternoon continues that spirit.
All proceeds from this fundraiser will support scholarships and bursaries at the Penticton Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts (PAMDA), helping make music and dramatic arts education accessible to students throughout our community.
PAMDA believes that the arts are essential to the human spirit. Through education, mentorship and artistic expression, students are encouraged to develop curiosity, creativity, confidence, collaboration and a lifelong love of the arts.
What better way to honour Denis than by filling a room with the things he loved most—music, young talent, friendship and community.
